Aspire coaching and mentoring

As the name suggests, I have started Aspire in order to help you be the person you want to be and succeed in your goals and the ambition that drives you.

I have over 40 years experience in sales, 35 of those years within the manufacturing and construction industry and for most of the past 18 years, in management or as a Director in several large multinationals in Europe. 

This has given me a vast and broad range of experience, firstly out on the road in sales, then in sales management, product development, marketing, major project sales and management and as a Commercial Operations Director, with responsibility for C suite negotiations, internal teams, process implementation and designing and delivering nationally Accredited CPD's around the country, particularly targeting sector specific areas of industry and young Graduates and Engineers. 

Along side my Corporate roles,  I have also been a Residential Social Worker in a residential care home for young people, a Personal Trainer, Gym Manager, started several small businesses and worked as a Christian Minister and undertaken outreach programmes to the homeless and young offenders. In addition I studied for over 4 years with the Open University studying Psychology and Sociology including a year specialising in Criminology and it is these skills that has enabled me to regularly undertake coaching and mentoring of people in both work and life generally.

Recently, I was made redundant, a difficult and stressful crossroads that I had to navigate which has made me take stock and re-evaluate my own life. During the past six or seven years, I have spoken to increasing numbers of people from all walks of life who are all facing the same issues... increasing demands asked of individuals in the workplace, the threat of redundancy or their employment terminated,  a greater impact on the work-life balance, financial concerns, a feeling of being lost, disengaged, uncertain about their future, anxiety, low self esteem, lacking direction or purpose in their lives and increasing frustration at life in general and our own identity as employees, parents, partners and even our own cultural identity.

Of most concern to me was that many of these were not just the older generation who feel that they have lost their identity and purpose in life but the younger generation starting out in their careers and who have their whole life before them. It seems that many of us are searching and trying to make sense of an increasingly volatile, confusing and uncertain world. 

It is this that has led me to realise that helping and guiding others who maybe experiencing the same life challenges both at work and in their personal lives, that has led me to become a full time Transformational Coach to help and assist others to see and fulfil their potential and to assist them to reach their goals.

This is my motivation for starting Aspire. A desire to reach out, to help others to discover, define and achieve their goals and aspirations in their workplace and personal lives.
